Frontend Engineer Skills
To be successful as a Frontend Engineer, you should have experience with:
- Understanding of JavaScript fundamentals, ES6+, closures, promises, async/await, and functional programming concepts.
- Ability to write clean, optimized code without relying heavily on frameworks.
- One major framework (React, Angular, or Vue) including state management, component architecture, and performance optimization techniques.
- Identifying and addressing differences in browsers and device sizes.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
- Good typing skills, interface design, and ability to leverage Type Script to improve code quality and developer experience.
- Experience with testing methodologies and tools (Jest, React Testing Library, ...).
