Graphic Artist – Casino Gaming

As a 2D graphic artist in the casino games industry, create visually stunning assets like symbols, characters, and backgrounds to align with the game’s theme and creative vision. Key responsibilities include designing and illustrating game elements, collaborating with design and development teams, ensuring style consistency, and optimizing assets for performance. The role requires strong knowledge of art fundamentals and proficiency in tools like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

Usage of AI tools to speed up the process is an advantage. Knowledge of AI tools is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
Design and illustration:
Design and create a wide range of high-quality, final-production 2D assets, including payout symbols (high, low, wild, scatter, bonus), backgrounds, reel strips, Popups, and Win screens, ensuring they align with the game’s theme and style.
Concept development:
Participate in brainstorming sessions, develop concepts, and create storyboards and mood boards to bring the game’s theme to life.

Collaboration:

Work closely with game designers, developers, and art leads to ensure visual assets are integrated seamlessly into the game engine and match the project’s vision.
Style and quality control:
Maintain artistic consistency and a high quality bar across all game assets, ensuring style cohesion throughout the project.
Asset optimization:
Optimize art assets for performance and memory efficiency without compromising visual quality.

Collaboration:

Work seamlessly with Game Design, Animation, and Technical Art teams to understand requirements and iterate on designs.

Required skills and qualifications:

Experience:

Minimum of 5-6 years of professional experience as a Graphic Artist, UI Artist, or 2D Artist specifically within the casino, gambling, or mobile social casino gaming industry.
Art fundamentals:
Strong understanding of composition, color theory, lighting, anatomy, and perspective.
Software proficiency:
Expertise in digital art tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other relevant software.
UI/UX Understanding:
Proven ability to create functional, intuitive, and visually appealing game UI layouts and elements.
Technical knowledge:
Ability to understand technical constraints and optimize assets for a game engine.

Collaboration:

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Experience:

Previous experience in game art, particularly in mobile or social games, is a plus
Knowledge of AI tools is a must.
Bonus points for:
Experience working on mobile casino or social slot games.
Skill in creating animated symbols or effects (using After Effects, Spine, or similar tools).
Familiarity with current casino game trends and art styles.
Understanding of visual storytelling and theme composition.
