Merchandiser, Retail

We're looking for a  Merchandiser  who will be responsible for  category planning and inventory management  across our retail network. You will ensure that the right products are at the right stores, at the right time, optimizing stock levels and maximizing sales, without being involved in product sourcing or vendor management.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and manage  inventory levels across categories  and stores.
Work on  seasonal and regional assortment planning  based on past trends and sales forecasts.
Monitor  stock movement , identify slow- and fast-moving products, and adjust stock allocations accordingly.
Create and update  category performance reports , recommending actionable insights.
Collaborate with retail operations and warehouse teams for  stock transfers and replenishments.
Assist in planning  promotions and markdowns  to optimize sell-through.
Ideal Candidate
Hands on experience in  merchandising, inventory planning, or category management.
Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in  Excel and inventory tools.
Detail-oriented with a structured approach to planning.
Experience in fashion or ethnic wear retail is a  big plus.
Based in or willing to relocate to  Kolkata.
