Aramark is currently recruiting a Clinical Dietitian to manage clinical nutrition services for acute care, long‑term care and outpatient services at Labrador West Healthcare located in Labrador City, Newfoundland and Labrador. This is a dual role that also includes the position of Nutrition Manager to manage and oversee meal service for 28 patients.
The Clinical Dietitian and Food Service Manager plans, coordinates, and manages all patient and resident nutrition care activities while complying with the standards established by Aramark, regulatory agencies, and clients. They develop and implement cost‑effective, profit‑generating nutrition programs, function as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team to implement nutrition care plans, and establish and maintain policies, standards, and programs for optimal, cost‑effective nutrition care to patients and residents.
This includes coordinating and directing all clinical activities as well as determining and implementing appropriate staffing levels.

This includes coordinating and directing all clinical activities and determining and implementing appropriate staffing levels for food services.
- Develop goals and objectives for clinical nutrition and food services to maintain high‑quality care.
- Utilize equipment, resources, and programs to provide efficient and high‑quality care.
- Assist in the performance planning process for Dietitians and Dietetic Interns and interview, select and train employees within the Food and Nutrition Services.
- Participate in the budget process.
- Recognize and adopt activities appropriate to the specific needs of the patient/resident population and demonstrate knowledge of specific issues directly related to the age of the patient/resident population.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other facility departments to provide a unified approach to patient/resident care.
- Establish and integrate department goals with client annual goals and visions to provide optimal nutrition care.
- Develop, implement and document in‑service education programs for Registered Dietitians, Dietetic Interns and other nutrition personnel, including hourly dietary staff, to provide continuing education and training.
- Engage in and encourage staff to participate in research, submit to professional publications and professional and community lectures.
- Establish and maintain systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment.

- Requires a minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Clinical Dietitian preferable in a hospital or long‑term care setting.
- 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree at an accredited institution with coursework accredited or approved by the appropriate nutrition and dietetics agencies.
- Earn and maintain applicable certifications, registrations, licenses, credentials, and continuing education requirements by the appropriate accredited local agencies.
- Must be an active member of the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Dietitians or transfer a current membership to the province.
- Conditions of employment may or may not include busy hospital and outpatient settings, from patient rooms/floors to kitchen/serving areas.
