Skipper; Landing Craft

An established aquaculture business with a reputation for low‑impact, high-welfare farming has an opportunity for an experienced Landing Craft Skipper to support daily marine logistics and sea site operations in the remote and scenic Northwest Highlands.

This is a hands‑on role suited to a Skipper who can confidently lead vessel operations, support aquaculture logistics and uphold the highest standards of safety, compliance and environmental care.

• Operate and maintain landing craft within certified limits and in line with D.O.T, MCA and Health & Safety regulations
• Perform sea site operations including feed delivery, mooring maintenance, towing of pens and barges
• Keep thorough onboard records including servicing, engine logs, fuel use, crew hours and disinfection protocol
• Support farm operations and liaise with production and site managers
• Ensure compliance with company standards, health & safety and environmental protocols
• Supervise boat personnel, including training and performance management
• Weekend work as required by boat workload

• RYA Commercial Endorsement for vessels under 24m
• Strong understanding of maritime safety and aquaculture logistics
• Organised, responsible and capable of mentoring others
• Comfortable working in remote coastal environments
• Willingness to work flexibly, including weekends and broader site duties
• Driving licence and own transport

• Salary from £36,000 + depending on experience
• Enhanced overtime rates: 1.5x weekdays and 1.75x weekends
