Mac Gregor Black are partnering with a major, high volume manufacturing organisation on the search for an Engineering Manager. This is a confidential permanent role based in the North of England.

• Lead and develop the engineering team, driving plant reliability and supporting daily production targets.
• Build a strong “one team” culture with operations and other site functions.
• Manage team performance, HR processes, and skills development plans.
• Ensure accurate completion of planned maintenance and CMMS data.
• Deliver the site capital plan and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain strong compliance, safety standards, and engineering best practice.

• HND or higher in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• CI qualification (Green Belt minimum) and IOSH Managing Safely.
• Proven engineering leadership experience—ideally within FMCG.
• Strong background in continuous improvement and TPM tools.
• Experience managing capital projects and working in unionised environments.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and stakeholder skills.
• Strong CMMS and MS Office (Excel) capability.
