About The OpportunityAs a Trainee Dispenser in one of our stores, you will be a key member of the pharmacy team, supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services. You will build strong relationships with patients, greet customers, dispense prescriptions, provide medication advice, and help patients make informed health choices.
This role is based in store within the UK. Remote applicants will not be considered and applications from candidates outside the UK will not be progressed unless relevant UK qualifications and right to work can be confirmed.
Key Responsibilities- Complete training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme
- Dispense prescriptions whilst ensuring safe supply of medicines (ordering, labeling, dispensing, endorsing, and collection)
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to manage and deliver pharmacy services
- Provide care and advice to patients and refer queries to the pharmacist as appropriate
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions
- Stay up to date with new innovations and comply with operational processes
- Support patients to manage prescriptions reliably and promote adherence while reducing waste
You will also work with evolving technologies that improve patient safety and free up your time to spend more with patients. Regular updates and training will help you develop healthcare knowledge and offer career options to become a Pharmacy Technician or part of the store leadership team.
What You’ll Need To Have- Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2)
- Current and valid UK right to work; role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa
- Experience working in community pharmacy
