Atlas BFW Management Ltd is the expert in healthcare facilities and property management for Lancashire and South Cumbria. Our c. 200 dedicated colleagues work with clients in both hospitals and community healthcare settings across 18 sites in Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre, North Lancashire, and South Cumbria. We are a private limited company and a wholly owned subsidiary of Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, offering estates management, capital development, facilities management, medical engineering, and property services to clients across the Lancashire and South Cumbria.
We are owned by the NHS for the NHS, and the profit we make goes back into patient care, as well as in investing in developing our team and growing the company for the communities we serve. We are an ambitious and growing organisation and pride ourselves on creating the best possible environment to support patients, visitors, and staff.
As our new Director of Operations, you will have responsibility for the operational functions within the company, ensuring that we meet our statutory, regulatory, governance, financial, and contractual obligations whilst driving continuous improvement, advising the Atlas Board and contributing to our strategic development. You will provide inspirational and supportive leadership across our teams, encouraging a culture of openness and transparency, and leading by example to reinforce our priorities, behaviours and values.
You will be responsible for facilitating and developing professional and collaborative working relationships across the Fylde coast and the broader Lancashire and South Cumbria region.
We are seeking an experienced operational leader with a track record of delivering and developing large-scale estates and facilities services, including maintenance, capital projects and compliance within relevant complex organisations. You will bring a relevant professional qualification and a credible, broader background in health and safety, statutory compliance, and sustainability. Whilst healthcare experience is not essential, an ability to understand the regulatory requirements of a healthcare setting will be critical to you quickly building credibility with our teams and stakeholders.
You will demonstrate values that align to ours, a commitment to delivering excellent services to customers, and an inspiring leadership style that will engage our workforce of multi-skilled staff.
In return, we offer an exciting opportunity to work with an ambitious and growing business that is positively improving the experience of those accessing healthcare services in our region.
