Lancashire County Council provides catering services to over 500 schools across Lancashire, serving over 60,000 school meals per day. We are looking for a committed individual to join the service as Head of the catering team at St Pauls Primary School, Warton, providing high‑quality, healthy, balanced meals for school children.

• Cook and serve food and beverages in accordance with agreed menus and production plans.
• Direct and/or supervise other employees.
• Order supplies and manage deliveries.
• Maintain records and stock control.
• Ensure compliance with food and kitchen hygiene standards and maintain associated documentation.
• Conduct LCC catering inductions for new team members.

• Experience in large‑scale catering.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of food service and supervisory skills.
• Recognised supervisor or team leader qualification is desirable.
• Flexibility with start and finish times to support different unit services.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of allergen laws.

• Monday to Friday.
• Term time only.
• Pay is pro rata; advertised wage is for full‑time equivalent.
• 23.75 hours per week, equalling 4.75 hours per day, although hours are variable depending on school meal uptake.
