Aboutthe Role
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and submission of personal tax compliance for a varied client base including high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs and professionals.
- Reviewing and overseeing the work of junior team members to ensure technical accuracy and quality.
- Providing coaching, mentoring and technical support to less experienced staff.
- Advising on complex personal tax matters such as capital gains tax, inheritance tax and residency issues.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships by offering proactive advice and identifying additional advisory opportunities.
- Staying up to date with personal tax legislation and HMRC requirements.
- Ensuring all compliance deadlines are met efficiently and effectively.
- ATT qualified (minimum); CTA or equivalent experience highly desirable.
- At least 3 years UK accountancy practice experience in personal tax.
- Proven ability to manage a portfolio of clients and review the work of others.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
- Confident communicator with strong organisational skills.
Skills & Qualifications
- Solid background in personal tax compliance and advisory.
- Familiarity with current HMRC requirements and tax legislation.
- Experience with tax software and digital recordkeeping (desirable).
- Hybrid working model (minimum 2 days per week in Lancaster office).
- Salary: (DOE).
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
