Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a Medical ICU position requiring ECMO and CRRT skills along with a PA or compact RN license.

• Active PA or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
• Experience with Medical ICU, Tele, ECMO, and CRRT required
• Skilled in ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, and titration of vasoactive and cardiac drips
• Experience with CVVHD/CRRT, ICP monitoring, and post-neurosurgical management preferred
• SSN, DOB, RTO, and valid driver's license required for consideration
• Two supervisor references preferred

• Medical ICU setting treating critically ill patients with a 1:2 patient ratio
• Rotating day and night shifts on a 3x12-hour schedule  and )
• Rotating cadence may vary, with several weeks on one shift before switching
• Weekend coverage required every other week
• Floating required within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Provide direct patient care in a Medical ICU setting including ventilator, hemodynamic, and renal replacement therapy management
• Navy blue scrub color required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must be willing to work every other holiday
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Former permanent employees must have been separated for at least 2 years to apply through an agency
• Travelers who complete a cumulative year within the health system must take a two-year break before returning
• Travel pairs may be accepted based on facility need, though matching schedules cannot be guaranteed
