Key Responsibilities- Support the drafting of BAT Conclusions.
- Liaise with Technical Working Groups and present a final document suitable for publication as a new UK-wide environmental standard for industry.
- Coordinate the work of technical authors.
- Use smart tools to stay connected and reduce travel (some travel and overnight stays may be required).
- Maintain an inclusive incident‑management objective and seek an incident role that suits your needs.
- At least 5 years working experience with a solid understanding of environmental regulation across industrial sectors.
- Strong understanding of UK and EU industrial environmental legislation, including the IED and the Environmental Permitting Regulations.
- Experience coordinating and reviewing the publication of technical documents.
- Understanding of the implications of BAT Conclusions in permits, on industry and the environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Planning, prioritising and organising tasks and resources to ensure timely and effective results.
- Ability to respond flexibly to challenges and build consensus.
- Experience in technical analysis of complex industrial data.
- Ability to work effectively with people from different backgrounds and cultures, encouraging diversity issues.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Influence and persuade others through evidence-led arguments.
- Deliver results, set goals, prioritise, and adapt to challenges.
- Drive efficiency, innovation, and quality in technical deliverables.
