An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Minor Injury Practitioner to work in our unit at Launceston Hospital.

This is a Band 6 post. We are interested in interviewing:

• Practitioners who can work in an advanced practice role (minor illness and paediatrics) at Band 6 level.
• Aspiring Practitioners with an urgent‑care background who would like to develop further and are already undertaking and have almost completed a relevant minor injuries and illness course.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering, without supervision, effective assessment and treatment of patients using an evidence‑based approach.
• Managing care needs, treatment, and evaluation of clinical interventions for patients attending the unit.
• Being responsible and accountable for the delivery of patient care in the unit.

Required skills and attributes:

• A passion for minor injury care.
• Good communication skills.
• A commitment to providing excellent care as part of the MIU team.
• Responsiveness to change and flexibility in approach.
• Sound knowledge of professional issues.

We are a small, flexible team and will support you in developing your practice within an exciting period of development for the MIU service.
