Southern Health Partners is seeking a dependable and compassionate PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team at Laurens County Detention Center.
Our greatest staffing need is currently on night shifts, so availability to assist with overnight coverage is especially important.
In this role, you'll provide essential healthcare services to an underserved population in a safe and secure correctional environment.
- Providing direct patient care, nursing assessments, and treatments.
- Administering medications as prescribed.
- Monitoring patient conditions and identifying changes in health status.
- Responding to medical needs and emergencies.
- Maintaining accurate and timely medical documentation.
- Collaborating with healthcare providers and facility staff.
- Promoting patient safety and following established healthcare protocols.
- Current, unrestricted LPN or RN license in South Carolina.
- LPN applicants must have held their nursing license for at least one year before consideration.
- Previous nursing experience preferred.
- Availability to assist primarily with 12-hour night shifts.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound clinical judgment.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Dependability and flexibility to support facility staffing needs.
PRN scheduling offers flexibility while helping us maintain consistent patient care.
- Online scheduling exchange for added flexibility.
- Provide at least four available dates each month.
- Holiday availability requested in advance whenever possible.
- Reliable coverage for shifts you accept and are scheduled to work.
- PRN scheduling requirements may vary based on facility staffing needs.
- Night shift availability is especially helpful at this location.
