We are seeking a Hardware Optoelectronics Engineer as a consultant to support the development of next‑generation optical communication systems for satellites.

• Oversee the complete electronic hardware development lifecycle, encompassing schematic design, simulation, prototyping, verification, optimization, and system integration
• Plan and execute comprehensive testing and validation campaigns, in accordance with internal QA processes and ESA specifications
• Design and optimize high‑reliability analog, digital, and mixed‑signal circuits for laser communication terminals, photodetector front‑ends, and optical control electronics
• Define and manage hardware and electro‑optical requirements
• Based in Lausanne
• Long‑term position

• MSc or PhD in Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field
• Experience with optical or optoelectronic components (lasers, photodiodes, fiber optics) is a major asset
• 6+ years of experience in analog and mixed‑signal electronic design, or optoelectronic sectors
• Experience in the Space/Aerospace Industry

• Analog and digital control systems
• PLLs, ADC/DACs
• PCB design tools (Altium preferred)
