The Role

We’re seeking an exceptional Senior/Lead Smart Contract Engineer with deep Solidity and EVM expertise to join a growing engineering team. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of decentralized finance while building a collaborative engineering culture centered on knowledge‑sharing and innovation.

You’ll work on cutting‑edge DeFi protocols, architect and implement sophisticated smart contracts across a multi‑chain EVM ecosystem, and contribute to products that generate millions in TVL and serve thousands of daily users.

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced Solidity smart contracts for DeFi protocols
• Architect scalable, secure, and gas‑efficient solutions across multiple EVM‑compatible blockchain networks
• Deep‑dive into EVM internals to optimize contract execution and gas consumption
• Collaborate with a high‑caliber engineering team to solve complex technical challenges in De Fi
• Conduct thorough code reviews and security audits to ensure protocol integrity
• Optimize smart contract performance and implement best practices for security
• Contribute to protocol design decisions and technical architecture discussions
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of knowledge‑sharing and continuous improvement
• Stay ahead of emerging trends in blockchain technology and DeFi innovations

Required:

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent exceptional experience)
• 3+ years of professional experience developing Solidity smart contracts for production environments
• EVM specialist with deep understanding of Ethereum Virtual Machine internals, opcodes, and execution flow
• Expert knowledge of Ethereum and EVM‑compatible blockchains (BSC, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of smart contract security best practices and common vulnerabilities
• Experience with DeFi primitives: liquidity pools, automated market makers, yield optimization, tokenomics
• Proficiency with development tools:
  Hardhat, Foundry, Truffle, Web
  3.js/Ethers.js
• Deep understanding of gas optimization techniques and efficient contract design patterns
• Experience with blockchain auditing processes and security frameworks
• Understanding of EVM opcodes, bytecode analysis, and low‑level contract optimization

Highly Valued:

• French language skills (not essential but beneficial for team integration)
• Experience with cross‑chain protocols and bridge mechanisms
• Contributions to open‑source blockchain projects or EVM tooling
• Previous experience working in Swiss or European tech ecosystems
• Published research or papers in blockchain/cryptography/EVM optimization
• Experience with formal verification and advanced testing methodologies
• Knowledge of EVM equivalence vs. EVM compatibility trade‑offs
• Experience with Layer 2 solutions and rollup technologies
