Description
** DPHV**, we’re looking for a Structural Engineering Analyst who is proficient with SAP
2000 and has a knack for designing ingenious temporary solutions for construction sites, while optimizing steel frame erection sequences and sizing lifting devices.
** What to expect:
** The Structural Engineer will actively participate in the design and sizing of complex steel structures and civil works assemblies. Versatile by nature, the Structural Engineer must be well-organized to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Depending on the assignment, the engineer may perform structural analyses and design temporary structures for on-site assembly.
* Model and interpret structures using SAP
2000 to anticipate constraints and optimize performance
* Develop innovative solutions for unexpected site challenges
* Design safe and efficient temporary elements to facilitate construction
* Create optimized erection sequences for steel frames to reduce delays and risks
* Size lifting devices and other temporary equipment to ensure safety and feasibility

* Your profile:

*** Strong interest in structural design and calculations
* Creative mindset, ability to think outside the box
* Excellent communication and adaptability in dynamic environments
* ** Proficiency in French (spoken and written) – mandatory
*** Proficiency in English (spoken and written) – many clients are based in the U.S.
* Solid understanding of construction projects as a whole
* Excellent time and priority management
* Team spirit, attention to detail, and organizational skills

* Qualifications:

*** Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Building Engineering, structural option (advanced steel courses required)
* Master’s degree in Structural Engineering (asset)
* Member in good standing with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
* Proven experience in steel structure design (both junior and senior engineers are welcome to apply; responsibilities will be adjusted based on experience level)
* Strong proficiency with SAP
2000
* Valid ASP card
