Frazer-Nash Consultancy is recruiting a Market Group Manager covering our business activities in Cyber and Intelligence — a critical role in advancing our business.
Role location:
Hybrid working pattern. Role can be undertaken across all UK office locations with Bristol being the preferable location.
Salary: £100,000 - £110,000 + comprehensive benefits.

As a Market Group Manager, you’ll be accountable for the company’s business development and sales strategy implementation to support growth in the Cyber and Intelligence market. This role will lead go‑to‑market activity in MOD Cyber & Specialist Command, Defence Digital and Defence Intelligence Markets, engaging with MOD and industry clients and leading an existing team.
What You’ll Be Doing- Oversee business development efforts across key defence, engineering, and technology sectors, aligning with strategic objectives.
- Build and manage long‑term client relationships, becoming a trusted advisor and first point of contact.
- Accountable for identifying and mitigating commercial risks.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities.
- Provide accurate forecasting and reporting of pipeline, performance, and market intelligence to senior leadership.
- Line manager for a group of Business Managers on a day‑to‑day basis, providing functional leadership, coaching and mentoring.
- Skillful in enhancing business development and boosting sales, ideally in the UK's Defence Nuclear Enterprise but applicable to wider defence, engineering, or technology sectors.
- Ability to engage with technical teams and translate complex offerings into compelling business value.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Organised professional with a strategic mindset and a results‑driven attitude.
- Background in consulting would be advantageous.
- Existing network within defence primes, government agencies, or related industries.
- Experience with framework agreements and public sector bids.
- Degree in business, engineering, or a related field is beneficial.
