We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the East Surrey Community Team for People with Learning Disabilities as a team administrator. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to organise and carry out your work within clear time frames.
Applicants will need to be able to communicate effectively and enjoy working as part of a team but be able to work independently as required. They should have a high level of database and word processing skills, have a good working knowledge of secretarial processes and be very organised. Previous experience of electronic patient record systems is desirable.
As a successful candidate you must be able to work in a busy office and be able to manage workload despite regular interruptions. The post will include working closely with the Office Manager, Service manager, professional leads and clinicians who make up the team.
The East Surrey CTPLD have two bases, Gatton Place - Redhill and 18 Mole Business Park - Leatherhead, work across both bases is expected.
Main duties of the jobTo provide office administrative duties for a multi-disciplinary Community Learning Disability Team including face-to-face contact with the public; people who use our services and their families and carers; medical staff; and other agencies. Reception duties are undertaken when necessary.
To undertake admin duties including preparing letters to GPs/other health care professionals to support the clinical team. To support the recording of referrals into the team and the admin associated with it.
Respond to telephone enquiries and team email messages and transmit to team members according to priorities; maintaining a helpful and courteous manner at all times

Person Specification Qualifications- NVQ 3
- Detailed knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office packages
- Knowledge and experience of secretarial duties
- Experience of dealing with telephone and email enquiries
- Experience of working in the NHS or a Healthcare setting
- Experience of working in the NHS or Health setting
- Experience of using electronic patient records system
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience of working in a busy office environment
- Professional experience interacting with individuals in potentially challenging or sensitive situations.
- Good typing speed and computer literacy
- Experience of taking minutes
- Evidence of excellent interpersonal and communication skills
