Join our Rail Team in Effingham as a dedicated Heavy Plant Fitter. In this role you will support our Rail Team by maintaining and enhancing our fleet of Multi‑Purpose Vehicles. Work scheme
- Maintain and repair MPVs and modules in line with company policies
- Ensure compliance with SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) standards
- Communicate regularly with your line manager and support your team
- Fault‑find and repair mechanical and electrical systems
- Complete verbal and written reports on maintenance, faults, and incidents
- Help drive improvements in quality, productivity and reliability
- NVQ Level 3 (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Good resource‑management and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work to tight maintenance schedules and deadlines
- Willingness to undertake road‑vehicle driving as required
- Knowledge of health & safety legislation, risk management and COSHH awareness
- Must meet and maintain the appropriate medical standard for the position
- PTS (Personal Track Safety)
- Dual‑trade skills competency (Mechanical/Electrical)
- Experience in the rail industry
- Smart working, staggered start and finish times, up to 40% remote working where roles allow
- 25 days paid annual leave (pro‑rata)
