OverviewThe Information Systems group has team members mainly in the Bristol and Leatherhead offices. The team works on the identification and design of information systems at all levels of organisations, from guiding high level management in digital processes to specifying and developing specific tools to exploit the organisation’s data. They work with organisations to identify how the exploitation of relevant data can be used to provide business intelligence and insights.
They design data systems to efficiently store and retrieve that data. The team delivers these services into a wide range of industries, predominantly supporting larger digital transformation programmes.
- Set out a vision and an annual plan for the group, in the context of the overarching company strategy.
- Grow our people and enhance our capability, through staff development and review, recruitment, training and skills development.
- Lead the group on a day-to-day basis, collaborating across the business to achieve a balance of workload for your team across client facing work, business winning and development activities to deliver against group performance indicators.
- Regularly fulfil technical leadership and project governance functions, acting as a role model for high quality delivery across the full project lifecycle, collaborating across the business to support multi-disciplinary offerings, and guiding your team in the correct application of our QMS.
- Be client facing - develop requirements, negotiate contracts / agreements, technically lead work packages, and play a key role in technical and commercial risk management.
- Degree level qualified in a relevant academic area.
- Knowledge and experience of data systems.
- Knowledge and experience of a range of information systems and technologies.
- Knowledge and experience of the risks associated with delivering information systems.
- Experience working in the Defence Industry and experience of developing new clients.
- Experience in developing solutions and products for customers and delivering subsequent programmes of work to customer satisfaction, schedule and budget.
- Visible leadership to the group and customers.
- Experience leading teams and governing projects technically and commercially.
- A motivation to grow the group in exciting and very hot technical and market environments.
