Our client is an established manufacturer with a strong focus on engineering, manufacturing excellence, and continuous improvement.
Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced CNC Technical Specialist to support and optimize machining operations through CNC programming, fixture design, process development, and troubleshooting. This hands‑on role provides technical guidance on the production floor while working closely with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Training to improve safety, quality, productivity, and manufacturing efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs, including G-code programming, toolpath development, and program prove-outs.
- Design fixtures and work‑holding solutions to improve machining accuracy, efficiency, and repeatability.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and provide daily technical support to production personnel.
- Evaluate machining methods, tooling, equipment setups, and processes to reduce cycle times, scrap, and operating costs.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance to implement new products, processes, and equipment improvements.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, cost reduction, and process standardization.
- Develop and maintain standard work procedures, technical documentation, and manufacturing instructions.
- Train, coach, and mentor team members on CNC programming, machine setups, tooling, quality standards, and safe work practices.
- Partner with the Training Department to develop training materials and support employee skill development.
- Assist with capital equipment projects, including equipment selection, installation, startup, and production implementation.
