About the Role
Clements Young are currently recruiting on behalf of a busy Property Management & Lettings company in Leeds.
We are looking for an experienced Administrator / Accounts Assistant to join the team immediately. This role is suited to a "safe pair of hands"—someone who is diligent, methodical, and takes pride in organizing financial data.
This is not a front-of-house reception role. You will be working directly with the Director to clear a financial backlog, reconcile accounts, and ensure the property portfolio is compliant.
Key Responsibilities:
* Purchase Ledger:
Managing the inflow of invoices and receipts from maintenance teams and suppliers.
* Reconciliations:
Cross-referencing monthly purchase statements against workman’s receipts to identify errors or unauthorized spend.
* Utilities Management:
Logging meter readings, setting up new utility accounts for void properties, and resolving billing disputes.
* Compliance:
Ensuring Gas Safety Certificates and tenancy agreements are filed correctly.
* Data Entry:
Accurate inputting of financial data into Excel and internal systems.
The Ideal Candidate :
* Experience:
Previous experience in Accounts Administration, Purchase Ledger, or Property Management is essential.
* Sector Knowledge:
Experience working within the Construction or Property sector (handling maintenance invoices or CIS) would be a massive advantage.
* Attention to Detail:
You must be able to spot numerical errors and discrepancies in statements.
* Software:
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
* Attitude:
Focused, mature, and able to work independently to clear a backlog.
What We Offer:
* Competitive Rate:
Up to £15.00 per hour, depending on experience (Weekly Pay).
* Flexible
Hours:
Flexible start times available (e.g., 08:00 – 16:30 or 09:00 – 17:30).
* Immediate Start:
Interviews taking place immediately for a start date of Monday 19th January.
