We’re looking for an exceptional Senior Product Leader to shape the future of our streaming product.

This role will be pivotal in defining the product vision, creating the roadmap, and leading strategic initiatives across our owned and operated platforms. You’ll partner closely with senior leaders across Channel 4 to deliver a world‑class streaming experience that balances remit delivery, creative ambition and viewer need with commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own, define and evolve the product strategy for Channel 4’s owned and operated streaming platforms. Partner with key stakeholders across Editorial, Commercial, Technology, Partnerships, and Content to align goals and balance outcomes across commercial, viewer, brand and remit KPIs.
  • Set and communicate product vision and outcomes effectively through compelling storytelling and exec‑level reporting — create and gain buy in for comprehensive long‑term investment business casing.
  • Shape and maintain a clear outcome‑based product roadmap - manage budget planning and ensure investment decisions align with longer‑term strategic goals.
  • Own delivery of the roadmap in partnership with third‑party technology vendors, ensuring seamless execution and measurable impact. Effectively partner with and influence the global roadmap of third‑party vendors, ensuring our priorities and customer needs are represented.
  • Champion a streaming‑first mindset across the organisation, leading and inspiring cross‑functional teams to adopt best‑in‑class product practices to deliver high[1]impact, complex initiatives. Embed and evolve ways of working that enhance collaboration, agility, and delivery efficiency.
  • Establish a clear and transparent framework for prioritisation that is understood and supported by stakeholders. Ensure decisions are made through the robust use of data, product metrics, and user insights to continually improve experience and performance, balancing the needs of a commercial funded, remit driven organisation.
  • Lead ideation and product discovery processes — identifying customer needs, business problems, and new opportunities.
  • Be an innovation leader and thought partner to Product Director – developing strategies that position Channel 4’s digital products as market‑leading, leveraging competitor insights and emerging technologies to create distinctive viewer experiences and drive commercial advantage.

Essential Experience & Skills
  • Proven track record leading product and design teams
  • Proven experience in product organisations, ideally within digital streaming, media, or technology sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing product strategies that drive business growth and outcome delivery.
  • Strong track record of managing the full product lifecycle using agile methodologies.
  • Advanced data literacy, with experience in defining, tracking, and interpreting performance metrics.
  • Experience collaborating with UX/UI teams and applying design principles to product development.
  • Commercial acumen, with a history of making decisions that balance customer needs and business objectives.
  • Experience influencing and managing external vendors or technology partners.
  • Exposure to experimentation frameworks and a test‑and‑learn approach to product development.
  • Experience in organisation transformation, and ability to embrace and lead a business through change
