We are seeking experienced and ambitious Senior Structural Engineers to join our Civil & Structural team, based in Leeds or Newcastle. You will work within a multidisciplinary environment, collaborating with divisions such as MEP, Nuclear, Smart Energy, and Sustainability. Projects typically range from £10M–£50M in value across sectors including Education, Residential, Heritage, Healthcare, Commercial, Logistics, Distribution, and Defence.

• Lead the design and delivery of structural engineering projects, from concept and scheme design to detailed design, tender, and construction packages.
• Oversee the preparation of calculation packages for submission to Building Control and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Provide technical oversight and review contributions from project engineers and technicians.
• Promote innovation in design while maintaining high‑quality standards and adhering to Stantec's quality assurance processes.

• Manage and develop graduate engineers, engineers, and technicians within your team.
• Take ownership of resource planning, ensuring efficient allocation of team capacity across projects.
• Contribute to divisional initiatives such as task groups and design innovation.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, and contractors.
• Support the preparation of fee proposals, bids, and ITTs.
• Participate in client networking and represent the team at industry events, focusing on cultivating new opportunities.

• MEng or BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (or actively working towards it) with IStruct
  
  E/ICE chartering.
• Proven experience in building structures design across various sectors.
• Proficiency in analysis, modelling, and hand calculations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams on projects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage clients and inspire team members.
