Overview

Asset Management Rail Lead – Join WSP’s UK & Ireland team to shape the future of rail infrastructure. This role blends strategic planning, project delivery and client partnership to deliver innovative rail solutions.

• Lead client advisory on rail strategy, feasibility and freight/ light rail opportunities.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary early‑stage projects, taking central ownership and managing deliverables.
• Develop and deliver technical rail advice to external and internal stakeholders.
• Bid for new work and contribute to business development within the rail practice.
• Engage with WSP UK and global communities, building internal and external networks.

• Extensive experience in light rail, freight or local authority transport.
• Deep knowledge of legislative and funding processes related to rail operations.
• Strategic planning, operational planning, business case development and engineering feasibility skills.
• Pro‑active, collaborative style with strong stakeholder management.
• Business development and project bidding experience.
• Organisational, project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Professional qualification or working towards one.
