Launch your engineering career with Amazon’s Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team. This apprenticeship offers a full‑time, fixed‑term contract starting September 2026 and focuses on maintaining and improving complex automated equipment. You will gain hands‑on experience in both electrical and mechanical disciplines, working with leading‑edge robotics, conveyor systems, sensors and PLCs, while upholding the highest health and safety standards.

Throughout the apprenticeship you will learn fault diagnosis, preventative maintenance, fluid power assembly, electrical wiring & testing, hydraulics and pneumatics, 3D printing, CAD design, and continuous improvement projects. You will support a 24/7 operation, working shifts that keep Amazon’s distribution network running smoothly.

• Carry out proactive and preventative maintenance
• Perform reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse
• Use the latest tools and equipment to maximise effectiveness
• Modify and upgrade existing equipment
• Uphold health and safety policies and practices
• Work on continuous improvement projects

• You are a UK national, a non‑UK national with the right to work in the UK, or an EU national with settled status, and have lived in the UK, an EEA country, or a British overseas territory for 3 years or more before September 2026
• If you are on a visa, you must be able to work and reside in England for the entire duration of the programme (September 2030)
• You will be resident in the UK for the entire duration of the programme
• You are not registered to study on a UK government‑funded course ending August 2026 or later
• You are 18 years old or older before entering an Amazon building (September 2026)
• You have a minimum of 3 GCSEs at grades 9‑4 / A‑C (or equivalent):
  Maths, English and a science/technology subject
• Previous qualifications will be reviewed for funding eligibility; those not eligible will have offers withdrawn
• PLEASE NOTE:
  
  This position is a 36‑48 month fixed‑term contract. You must NOT already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship.
• This apprenticeship assumes the candidate has little or no knowledge or experience of the occupation.

• You have 5 GCSEs at grades 9‑4 / A‑C, including Maths, English and a science/technology subject.
• You have achieved or are studying toward a T‑Level in an engineering subject, ‘A’ Levels with a bias toward science & technology, or another engineering subject.
