Multi‑Skilled Shift Engineer – Harrogate, North Yorkshire
Location: Harrogate, North Yorkshire
Shift: 12‑hour rotation (6pm‑6pm and 6pm‑6am)
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times within a food processing facility.
- Maximise equipment availability by responding safely and effectively to breakdowns.
- Support manufacturing to ensure continuous production.
- Ensure all machinery is maintained and repaired to a high standard.
- Carry out planned, routine, and reactive maintenance across all equipment.
- Keep technical skills and knowledge continuously updated.
- Identify root causes of breakdowns and deliver long‑term engineering solutions.
- Identify potential issues with existing equipment and implement practical fixes.
Qualifications:
- Multi‑skilled engineer with an electrical bias.
- Experience working in FMCG environments.
- Strong understanding of operational standards and compliance.
- Preferred: 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and Electrical or Mechanical qualifications (ONC, HNC or equivalent).
- Preferred certifications: HACCP, Food Safety, and Hygiene.

Maintenance Engineer – Electrical (Ossett Production Facility, Kerry)Location: Ossett Production Facility, UK
Shift: 24/7 rotating pattern (2 days 2 nights, 5 off / 2 days 3 nights, 4 off / 3 days 2 nights, 5 off)
Responsibilities:
- Effective planned maintenance inspections and review frequencies.
- Recommend improvements to maintenance schedules; carry out safety checks.
- Overhaul and repair of plant; monitor conditions and report defects.
- Complete stores requisitions for parts and contract services.
- Perform in‑depth RCA for breakdowns and process failures.
- Help generate and maintain compliance to SOPs/ Risk Assessments.
- Report plant performance and communicate non‑conformance issues.
- Support site services as required.
Qualifications:
- Formal engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ level 3 or equivalent) in mechanical and/or electrical discipline.
- Continuous improvement experience.
- RCA experience.
- PLC automation skills beneficial but not required.
- Training experience and team‑player attitude.

Salary: £44,200 + £6,000 Shift Premium
Shift Pattern: 6am‑6pm (morning) and 6pm‑6am (night)
Responsibilities:
- Mechanical disassembly/reassembly, basic field wiring, calibration, and system testing.
- Efficient CMMS utilisation and reactive repairs to minimise downtime.
- Servicing, repair, and troubleshooting of installed equipment.
- Interpret electrical schematics and work with 415V motor controls.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure safety compliance.
- Follow assembly drawings, setup instructions, and checklists.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels.
