, a global consulting firm, supports clients in evaluating the environmental, climate, societal, health and economic impacts of policy choices. We provide research, analysis, and programme management services to policymakers in the UK, EU and across Europe.
Our Energy and Climate team focuses on improving energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions at national and international levels. We work at the intersection of policy and practice, helping government and commercial clients develop effective energy and climate strategies and deliver implementation programmes.
Key Projects- Conducting technical on‑site audits at industrial and commercial facilities.
- Implementing grant support programmes for industrial decarbonisation and energy efficiency projects.
- Ecodesign and labelling regulations for a wide range of energy‑using products.
- Deploying renewable energy and low‑carbon technologies at large scale through financial mechanisms.
- Scope 1, 2, 3 emission reporting and climate risk assessment for commercial clients.
- Technical and economic analysis to underpin decarbonisation, energy efficiency and renewable incentives and policy initiatives.
- Travel to conduct on‑site technical audits across various sites in the UK.
- Manage day‑to‑day tasks of one or more projects, reporting to Project Managers and Contract Directors.
- Provide technical support on research, analysis, and evaluation of projects related to decarbonisation, energy efficiency and renewables.
- Conduct on‑site audits to assess participant compliance with programme requirements.
- Engage stakeholders through quantitative and qualitative surveys and technical‑economic analysis.
- Engage with grant programme participants to monitor and report on their progress.
- Prepare written outputs such as contractual reports, methodological concepts, analytical papers and other key documents for clients.
- Support preparation of presentations to internal and external audiences.
- Maintain records and uphold quality assurance integrity.
- Support business development activities.
- Valid UK driver’s licence.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
- Understanding of decarbonisation, energy efficiency technologies and their commercial deployment in industrial applications.
- Experience with broader decarbonisation, energy efficiency and environmental impacts / circular economy.
- Understanding of climate policy issues and mitigation measures.
- Strong quantitative analysis capability.
- Determination to meet customers’ needs.
- At least one year of post‑graduate professional experience.
- Strong VBA programming skills in Excel or equivalent.
- Master’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
- Knowledge of CHP, heat generation technologies (boilers, heat pumps, biomass, biogas, ground‑source heat pump, solar thermal, etc.).
- Involvement with decarbonisation solutions, CCUS, hydrogen, smart grid solutions and their commercial deployment.
- Capability for handling, processing and presenting complex data.
- Understanding of the UK/EU energy efficiency and renewable energy policy framework.
