Area Sales Manager – Industrial Pumps / Gearboxes / Mechanical Seals
A leading UK engineering manufacturer is looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to develop and grow sales across the Yorkshire region. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected business known for its technical expertise, strong customer relationships, and high‑quality engineered products.
We’re looking for someone with a proven track record selling industrial pumps, gearboxes, mechanical seals, rotating equipment, or related engineered components into manufacturing and process industries.

The Role
 
* Manage and grow an established territory across Yorkshire.
 
* Develop new business while nurturing long‑standing customer relationships.
 
* Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and reliability teams to understand challenges and propose technical solutions.
 
* Promote a range of engineered products and services into sectors such as chemical, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, energy, and general manufacturing.
 
* Conduct site visits, problem‑solve with customers, and deliver value‑led proposals.
 
* Prepare quotations, manage the sales pipeline, and report on activity and forecasts.
About You
 
* Experience selling industrial pumps, gearboxes, mechanical seals, rotating equipment, or similar engineered products.
 
* Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand mechanical systems and customer processes.
 
* Confident developing new business and managing key accounts.
 
* Comfortable engaging with engineering managers, maintenance teams, and procurement.
 
* Self‑motivated, organised, and able to work independently across a regional territory.
 
* Based in Yorkshire with a full UK driving licence.
