Water Treatment Process Consultant

A Global Energy company with more than 30,000 employees is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join its Wastewater Process Engineering Team

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in designing and optimising wastewater treatment solutions that make a tangible impact on the environment and local communities.

Working as part of a dynamic, multi-skilled team, you’ll provide technical expertise across a range of wastewater treatment projects — from process design and optimisation to operational support on live sites.

• Developing process calculations, control philosophies, P&IDs, performance specifications, and commissioning plans.
• Leading innovative process design solutions s.
• Supporting site operations by improving plant performance, implementing optimisation measures, and troubleshooting treatment processes.
• Mentoring and supporting junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

• A degree in Chemical Engineering (MEng / BEng / BSc) or an equivalent discipline.
• 4+ years’ experience in the water industry or consultancy environment.
• Proven experience in wastewater process design, optimisation, and commissioning support for UK Water Companies.
• Chartered status or working towards chartership (desirable).
• Strong analytical skills and a collaborative, problem‑solving approach.
