The Management Accountant at Lanes Group is responsible for preparing and analysing financial reports to support strategic decision‑making, budgeting, and forecasting. They will monitor performance metrics, provide insights to improve cost efficiency, ensure financial compliance, and collaborate with various departments to guide financial planning and business growth.
The Role at a Glance- Location:
Elements Ring Road Lower Wortley Leeds, LS12 6AB - Hours:
Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week - Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including detailed variance analysis and commentary.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to support strategic decision‑making.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
- Drive cost control initiatives and identify opportunities for financial optimization.
- Collaborate with department heads to deliver actionable financial insights and guidance.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models and reporting tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and adherence to financial policies.
- Support year‑end audit activities and statutory reporting requirements.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations to maintain data integrity.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis to inform and support key business initiatives.
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
- Proven experience in a management accounting role.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficient in Excel and financial systems (e.g., Microsoft D365, Net Suite).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of Power BI or other data visualization tools.
