Position: Executive, Finance (Apprenticeship)

What you will do

  • Manage bank reconciliations ensuring transactions are accurate, complete, and up to date
  • Reconcile company credit cards and maintain clear, organized records of all spend
  • Support client and supplier contract administration, helping to maintain accurate files and ensuring all agreements are compliant and current
  • Handle ad-hoc client and supplier queries with a focus on providing timely, professional support
  • Lead on credit control, monitoring outstanding balances and maintaining positive relationships while ensuring prompt payment
  • Create and issue client invoices with precision, and follow up to ensure smooth processing and payment
  • Process supplier invoices, from posting through to payment, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal controls
  • Coordinate company travel management, supporting colleagues with bookings and travel-related administration
Requirements
  • Grade 4 or above at GCSE in maths and English
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle confidential client information
  • Exposure to billing software and financial management systems e.g. Xero, Sage, Quickbooks and/or exposure to cost management software e.g. Spendesk, Pleo, Payhawk would be advantageous
  • Interested in developing towards a career in Finance/Accountancy and studying towards a professional accreditation such as AAT
Employment type
  • Full time (20% of time would be for studying AAT
  • Level 3 AAT
Start date
  • The successful candidate will start working at Journey Further in early February and be enrolled ontothe AAT course in March
