Head of Finance

HW Finance are delighted to be partnering with a high-growth, internationally operating business with turnover in excess of £100m to appoint a Head of Finance. This role takes full ownership of the day-to-day finance function across UK and US operations, while working closely with senior leadership to support continued scale and performance. This is a hands-on, senior role suited to someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, brings structure to complexity, and can balance operational delivery with commercial insight.

Key Responsibilities Lead the day-to-day finance function for a £100m turnover business across UK & US entities Oversee all core finance operations including month-end, reporting, AP/AR, payroll, and controls Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across both jurisdictions Own budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and working capital management Manage statutory accounts, audits, tax, and regulatory compliance in the UK and US Act as a key finance partner to the leadership team, providing insight to support growth decisions Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, systems, and controls to support scale Candidate Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) Proven experience operating in a high-growth, complex environment, ideally within a £50m–£200m turnover business Strong hands-on experience running a finance function end-to-end Exposure to multi-entity and/or international operations (UK & US experience highly desirable) Commercially astute, detail-driven, and comfortable influencing senior stakeholders Able to bring structure, pace, and rigour to a scaling organisation
