About the Role
Working as an Associate Paraplanner in the Paraplanning Centre of Excellence, you will develop your technical knowledge to support Financial Planner(s) with financial planning solutions for clients. You will draft well‑written suitability letters and reports and liaise with Paraplanners and Client Executives to ensure that all client business is processed correctly and in a timely manner. Working under supervision, the focus is on learning how to apply product and technical knowledge to client requirements and becoming fully competent in all paraplanning work.
Responsibilities- Research and analysis: conduct research and analysis to identify suitable solutions for clients, including cash‑flow modelling scenarios.
- Technical work: draft basic suitability letters and reports for annual reviews and new business, prepare tax calculations and basic financial plans.
- Client requirements: determine client objectives and priorities, together with understanding client attitudes to risk and loss.
- Managing documentation: prepare client files for review meetings and maintain them compliantly throughout the client advice journey.
- Compliance and regulation: work in accordance with FCA principles and rules, demonstrating adherence to relevant regulations and procedures.
- Supporting the team: assist the Client Executive with client matters and queries.
- Technical knowledge: dedicate time to developing technical and industry knowledge and meeting continuous professional development requirements.

- Workload is managed efficiently and effectively in line with KPIs and SLAs.
- Documentation and records are accurately maintained in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Production of detailed and compliant client reports.
- Demonstration of commitment to building technical and industry knowledge.
You will have experience in a Client Services role within Financial Planning and be eager to develop a career within Paraplanning or Financial Planning. You will demonstrate a good application of basic paraplanning knowledge developed through role experience and professional study, working towards a Diploma in Financial Planning with a minimum of two R0 exams passed. You are analytical, data literate, enjoy working with Microsoft Excel and other systems, and possess excellent communication and writing skills.
You are methodical and organised, delivering high‑quality, detailed work and working autonomously within your areas of expertise. You possess a good understanding of financial products and FCA principles and are willing to share knowledge and help the Client Executive with complex client matters.

We are looking for approximately five Associate Paraplanners located at offices in Manchester, Leeds, London, and Worthing. We operate a hybrid working model that enables home and office working, allowing you to balance personal responsibilities and interests while connecting with colleagues.
