Relief Support Worker

We are looking for a compassionate, positive, and creative individual to join our supportive and dedicated team at our supported living service in Barrow, Cumbria.

We welcome applications from people with a genuine passion and drive to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities and mental health support needs. The successful candidate will support individuals at our homely Supported Living Service in Barrow and out in the community. No two days are the same, as our service users have a wide range of interests, including shopping, afternoon tea, trips to new places, and coffee and cake days.

Support Worker Duties:

• Enabling individuals to live fulfilling and independent lives both at home and in the community.
• Assisting with daily living tasks such as budgeting, shopping, medication support, and personal care.
• Working flexibly, including evenings and weekends, according to the service needs.
• Supporting service users to become as independent as possible, fostering confidence, social skills, and use of community resources.
• Responding to individual needs within the framework of Person-Centred Plans.

Experience of at least months in care is essential. You should have a warm, caring nature and a commitment to positively impacting people's lives.
