Job Overview
Support Worker e’s Fearnville service, assisting clients 24/7. The role includes providing high‑quality care, supporting client independence, engaging in social activities, and ensuring a safe and respectful environment. The service is located in Leeds (LS8); holding a UK driving licence is desirable to drive client vehicles. Various shifts – days, nights and sleep overs – are available.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review person‑centred support plans that reflect clients’ views and changing needs.
- Assist clients to realise aspirations and live as independently as possible, including social visits, hobbies, choice promotion, and arranging activities and outings.
- Communicate openly and transparently with clients and the team, acting with integrity.
- Provide personal care, respecting dignity and privacy (e.g., washing, toileting).
- Record accurate daily notes and other client‐related documentation.
- Ensure all support protects clients from abuse and exploitation, maintains dignity and supports positive risk‑taking.
- Carry out household duties (cooking, cleaning, laundry, and other domestic tasks) as required.
- Support quality inspection processes and cooperate with on‑site inspectors for information requests.
- Adhere to Health & Safety requirements: manual handling, food hygiene, fire safety, infection control, and risk assessment procedures.
- Adapt to individual client needs – no two days are the same.
- Unable to offer sponsorship for this role.
- Experience maintaining accurate written and numerical records.
- Ability to undertake a wide range of personal care and domestic duties.
- Physical capability to climb stairs, use hoists, push wheelchairs, move people, and work night shifts.
- Adjustments considered under the Equality Act for disabilities.
- Computer literacy (Word, Outlook, Internet) or willingness to learn.
- Team‑working, cooperating with carers, families, inspectors, and external stakeholders.
- Willingness to provide appropriate level of care and support in line with care plans.
- Desirable: UK driving licence to drive client vehicles.
