Senior Cloud Dev Ops Engineer - Fully Remote (UK only) - Up to 85k

This group is investing heavily in AWS, automation and data driven solutions, and they are hiring a Senior Cloud Dev Ops Engineer who wants ownership, autonomy and the chance to shape future cloud standards.

Your core responsibilities Cloud Engineering

Design, build and maintain AWS environments and ensure they meet industry security standards.

Dev Ops Enablement

Promote Dev Ops culture, automation thinking and strong engineering practice across the team.

Security and Architecture Reviews

Lead technical assessments, risk reviews and architectural improvements for data and cloud workloads.

Infrastructure as Code

Create reusable templates and patterns using Terraform and Cloud Formation to support consistent cloud deployments.

Cloud Operations and Administration

Manage identity and access, support cloud integrations, analyse performance and recommend improvements to keep systems robust and resilient.

Skills and experience required

• Degree in computer science, engineering or a similar technical field.
• Five or more years experience in Cloud Dev Ops, Cloud Architecture or Platform Engineering.
• Strong understanding of AWS across compute, networking, identity and databases.
• Solid experience with Terraform and Cloud Formation.
• Strong Python skills.
• Confident with SQL, MySQL, Postgres and S3 based storage.
• Comfortable with Linux and shell scripting.
• Experience with Git, Git Hub and CI or CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical and problem solving mindset with the ability to collaborate in a fast paced environment.
• Strong grasp of modern Dev Ops, cloud tooling and configuration management.

Nice to have

• AWS certifications.
• Working knowledge of SOC 2, GDPR or related compliance requirements.
• Networking certifications such as CCNA or CCNP.
• Experience with Kafka, MQTT or other streaming technologies.
• Hands on experience with serverless, ECS or EKS.
• Agile or Scrum exposure.
• Strong communication skills.
• Interest in Data Engineering, AI or ML.
