Dev Ops Consultant – Cloud Advisory (Hiring for a Leading Consulting Firm)
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading global consulting firm recognised for delivering inventive, data-driven transformation. Their teams bring together strategic insight, creativity and deep technical expertise to help organisations modernise their technology landscape and tackle complex challenges.
They are expanding their Cloud Advisory capability and are seeking Dev Ops Consultants at Senior Consultant and Managing Consultant levels .
📍 Location :
Mostly remote (UK-based), with ad-hoc travel to London, Manchester or Glasgow , depending on where you are based. All client travel is fully expensed.
As part of the Cloud Advisory team, you will support clients in adopting, scaling and optimising cloud and Dev Ops practices. You will deliver advisory work that enhances agility, accelerates delivery and enables smarter use of emerging technologies.
Key responsibilities include- Assessing, defining and implementing Dev Ops capabilities to boost agility, innovation and time-to-market.
- Championing a platform-as-a-product mindset centred around user experience, documentation and support.
- Advising across the full platform lifecycle —ideation, road mapping, launch, iteration and retirement.
- Helping clients maximise value from existing ITSM tools and frameworks.
- Building Dev Ops and platform engineering maturity roadmaps, including areas such as Generative AI and product-centric delivery.
- Introducing new technologies, operating models and ways of working across client organisations.
- Leading or collaborating within cross-functional teams (product, engineering, security, operations).
- Keeping up with emerging trends like orchestration, internal developer portals and AI / ML-enabled platforms.
Candidates with platform product management experience or a strong product mindset in engineering are encouraged to apply.
What They’re Looking For Senior ConsultantDesign and lead projects or multiple work streams, owning key elements of delivery and propositions.
Managing ConsultantDrive practice growth, contribute to market offerings and own consulting sales of c. £500k+ per year.
You’ll also contribute to- Business development : proposals, bids, pitches, client events
- Internal initiatives : thought leadership, whitepapers, communities of practice
- Learning & development : certifications, training, mentoring
You are a strategic, product-minded consultant with strong client-facing skills. You bring :
- Experience in lean process design and automation across product, engineering and operations teams.
- Consulting or coaching experience in agile and modern delivery environments.
- Ability to define and measure OKRs / KPIs to improve speed, productivity and quality.
- Solid understanding of hybrid / multi-cloud, Dev Ops, CI / CD, SRE, Dev Sec Ops , DevX, observability, pipelines and ITIL.
- (Preferred) Experience improving observability and monitoring alongside engineering teams.
