We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join a large-scale NHS digital programme focused on data integration and API-driven transformation.

You'll be working with cross-functional teams including data engineers, developers, and product managers to shape and deliver solutions that improve interoperability, insights, and outcomes across the healthcare ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in NHS projects, an understanding of data flows and standards, and experience working on API-led platforms within complex public sector environments.

Key Responsibilities

Lead business analysis activities across API and data integration projects.
Gather, refine, and document requirements from clinical, technical, and operational stakeholders.
Translate business needs into clear technical specifications and user stories.
Map existing and future-state data flows, identifying dependencies and opportunities for improvement.
Support end-to-end delivery - from discovery and design through to testing and assurance.
Ensure all outputs align with NHS data governance and interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, etc.).
Act as the bridge between business users, suppliers, and engineering teams.

Essential Skills

Proven Business Analysis experience on NHS or wider public sector digital projects.
Strong understanding of data-driven systems, APIs, and integration projects.
Experience producing documentation such as process maps, data models, and user stories.
Ability to engage confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
