Job Description

As a Team Manager in Food, you will lead a frontline team on the shop floor to deliver exceptional availability, 5-star service, and commercial results. You will be commercially sharp, operationally resilient, and relentless in standards. Whether managing stock, coaching your team, or solving problems, you will move with purpose and lead by example.

• Lead and coach a team to deliver consistently under pressure. You will set the pace, build capability, and hold the line on standards.
• Drive commercial performance and translate numbers into action.
• Collaborate across departments to deliver a seamless customer experience and fix problems early.
• Take accountability when things don't go to plan.

Team Managers are responsible for leading the majority of our colleague population and driving sales, commerciality and service standards.

• Drive a selling culture within your team.
• Consistently raise performance and capability to support developing internal talent.
• Utilise data to support operational decisions.
• Implement continuous improvement mentalities and work in partnership with the wider team.
• Energise your team to deliver first-class customer service in a fast-paced environment.

• A proven leadership track record and the ability to lead effectively through ambiguity.
• Digitally confident, with an understanding of systems, and able to exploit them.
• Comfortable having difficult conversations and achieving effective resolutions with colleagues and line managers.
• Ability to juggle a number of priorities while maintaining excellent standards and working with pace.
• Demonstrate flexibility and resourcefulness to change and lead teams through change with a growth mentality.
