Warehouse Shift Manager

Location:

Sainsbury’s, Sherburn in Elmet, West Yorkshire, UK. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will manage a shift on a rotating 4 on 4 off pattern (06:00–18:00 and 10:00–22:00).

Salary up to £42,600.00 per annum

• Manage and lead the shift, striving to maximise productivity, quality, and efficiency across the warehouse.
• Drive performance through effective monitoring, coaching, and performance improvement.
• Review all aspects of shift performance, identifying areas for improvement to ensure efficient and accurate processes.
• Lead the team proactively to motivate high performance, develop positive engagement and good communication across the operation.
• Manage the warehouse training requirement and function.

• Proven experience managing a large operational team in a fast‑paced warehouse environment at a similar level.
• Ability to lead continuous improvement projects while demonstrating excellent planning skills.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on maintaining on‑site engagement.
• Positive, people‑oriented approach and readiness to tackle the challenges of the night shift.
