Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias)

Sherburn in Elmet

Salary: £42,000 + overtime and excellent benefits

Shift: Straight Days Monday to Friday (including one afternoon shift every 3 weeks)

• Carrying out reactive and planned maintenance on a range of mechanical systems and production machinery
• Working alongside production and engineering teams to minimise downtime
• Fault finding, repairs, and improvements to plant and equipment
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and site upgrades
• Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health & safety and food hygiene standards

• Time-served or qualified Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias
• Experience working within a food, FMCG, or similar fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Confident with mechanical fault finding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic fabrication
• Proactive mindset with good problem-solving skills
• A team player with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
