CNC Sliding Head Engineer

Salary: £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Metalis are currently working with a well-established and growing manufacturer, who are looking for an experienced CNC Sliding Head Engineer to join their team. They are currently going through a great period of growth and are looking to strengthen their machining department.

• Set up and operate sliding head CNC lathes
• Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs (G-code or CAM-based)
• Select appropriate tooling and inserts based on material and design requirements
• Carry out in-process and final inspection using measuring equipment
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery
• Read and work from engineering drawings
• Work to tight tolerances

• Experience using Sliding Head machines
• Able to set, operate and program
• Able to read engineering drawings
• Experience working with metals and plastics

• £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
• Days - Monday to Thursday, 7am - 3:30pm & Friday, 7am - 2:30pm
• Afternoons - Monday to Thursday, 3pm - 11pm & Friday, 2:30pm - 10pm
• Overtime (when available)
