Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the appearance and condition of their grounds, ensuring they are safe, clean, and finished to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

Mowing Grass:
Operate and maintain lawn mowers and other equipment to ensure all grassed areas are kept neat and tidy.
Weeding:
Remove weeds from flower beds, pathways, and other areas to maintain a clean and attractive environment.
Hedge Cutting:
Trim and shape hedges and shrubs to promote healthy growth and maintain desired shapes.
General Upkeep:
Perform a variety of tasks to ensure the grounds are well-maintained, including litter picking, sweeping, and minor repairs.
Equipment Maintenance:
Regularly check and maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
Health and Safety:
Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

Previous experience in grounds maintenance or a similar role is preferred.
Knowledge of gardening techniques and equipment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor.
A valid drivers license may be required.
