Overview
Quality Inspector required for a reputable Engineering & Manufacturing company, employing over 500 staff across the world. This long-established organisation supplies a variety of industries with complex flow control products, including Valves, Pumps and Actuators.
This organisation recently decided to make significant investment (worth circa £1.8m) into their Leeds site, which will include a full overhaul of the workspace and facilities. Due to continued demand for their versatile product range, this organisation is recruiting for several positions including a Quality Inspector.
This opportunity is based in LEEDS
, meaning the successful Quality Inspector will be easily able to commute from surrounding areas including Bradford, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Dewsbury and Halifax.
Key Responsibilities of the Quality Inspector will include;
- Conduct technical inspections of components ensuring compliance with agreed specifications
- Ensure metrology equipment is periodically calibrated and records are kept up to date
- Document NCR’s within the companies systems and investigate their root causes whilst providing solutions to avoid future occurrence
- Collaborate with the Procurement and Supply Chain departments
- Develop procedure checklists to standardise the inspection of components, to enable other employees to conduct inspections.
- Provide final inspection and product release sign-off
- Maintain accurate documentation to ensure the business complies with ISO
9001 standards
For the role of Quality Inspector, we are keen to receive applications from individuals who have;
- Experience as a Quality Inspector within an Engineering or Manufacturing environment
- Strong experience using and calibrating Micrometers, Gauges, Vernier’s, Comparators and Air Gauges.
- The ability to read technical drawings, interpret technical standards and tolerances
- £30,000 to £35,000 per annum depending on experience
- 30 Days annual leave including bank holidays
- 8% Combined pension (3% employer/ 5% employee)
