A leading engineering business, part of a growing group, is looking for a skilled Quality Inspector with a CMM programming background to join their quality team. This business operates in a highly regulated environment, producing high-value complex components that demand the highest standards. - Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (DOE)

You’ll work on both hands‑on manual inspection and high‑level CMM programming.
Your main responsibilities as a Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer- Programming Mitutoyo CMMs using MCOSMOS and getting trained on cutting edge AI‑driven next generation software
- Carrying out first‑off, in‑process, and final inspections to strict standards
- Manual inspection using verniers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges etc.
- Producing detailed inspection reports and updating quality documentation
- Collaborating with Production, Engineering and CI teams to solve quality issues
- Supporting training for apprentices and less experienced colleagues
- Maintaining calibration and inspection equipment
They’re open to different experience levels - whether you’ve got 1‑2 years under your belt and a proactive attitude, or you’re a seasoned CMM Programmer.
You’ll Need- Experience with CMM programming (Mitutoyo preferred; Zeiss or Hexagon considered)
- Confidence in interpreting detailed technical drawings and GD&T
- Hands‑on manual inspection capability
- Familiarity with ISO 9001
- An eye for process improvement and continuous development
