Breakfast Customer Service Assistant – Vita Student, Leeds
Hourly Rate: £13
Contract: Permanent, 12 hours per week
Working Hours: 6am – 11am or 6am – 1:30pm (Mondays & Sundays)
- Meet & greet residents and guests with a warm, friendly, and vibrant attitude.
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of breakfast foods in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace.
- Adhere to food safety regulations.
- Ensure residents and facilities are respected by all residents and guests.
- Monitor produce stock levels, communicate needs to the site manager, and assist in ordering produce to maintain appropriate inventory.
- Respond to all questions, queries, and requests in a helpful manner.
- Keep the kitchen and breakfast areas clean and tidy.
- Deep‑clean specific equipment or appliances such as fridges and ovens as required.
- Replenish refreshment stock, such as coffee beans, tea bags, milk, and vending machine food products.
- Act as the primary point of contact for any potential incident or emergency that may occur onsite.
- Customer service experience in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
- Well versed in kitchen regulations.
- Technological aptitude – comfortable using a variety of software and technology systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment, respecting diverse cultural and religious backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills. English is the primary spoken language; multilingual skills are welcomed.
- Adaptability, creativity, and positivity.
- Resilience and the ability to navigate unexpected situations.
- Physical capacity to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movements, with reasonable adjustments considered where required.
- Flexibility – availability for 24/7 resident service, including bank holidays, festive, and religious breaks.
