Role – Sales Manager

Location - Yorkshire and surrounding areas, based in South Leeds

Remuneration - Market leading basic salary, exceptional bonus structure, 25 days holiday and pension

Alcedo Selection is proud to be partnering with a leading steel/plastics stockholder looking to expand their team in the Yorkshire area. The company provide a one-stop-shop for their clients and are heavily invested and focused on delivering a bespoke service to fit the needs of a mature, yet growing client base. As a nationally known brand in the sector, it is your role to help continue their success and expansion across multiple market sectors including oil & gas, infrastructure, automotive, marine, signage & display and general engineering to name a few.

As well as materials, the business offers a range of engineering services to help its clients save time and add value.

Due to strategic business change, an opportunity has been created for a Sales Manager to grow and develop/mentor the high-performing sales team.

Your role will be to pro-actively maximise the return on investment from all of your direct reports by developing and delivering creative sales KPI’s to help yield fantastic results.

Your role will also be to act as the commercial lead in the top spending major accounts.

Key Tasks

* Motivate and mentor a team of Internal Account Managers to hit daily sales and profit KPI's while offering market leading customer service.

* Ensure the business achieves forecasted annual gross profit target.

* Produce business intelligence reports, incorporating relevant information such as contacts, materials, requirements, pricing, competitor activity etc.

* Help your team utilise system software to quote, follow up and manage customer contact details.

* Develop contacts and relationships with customers to ensure that you and the team are first choice when placing orders, that you get first refusal in competitive situations, and to be familiar with customers’ regular requirements.

* Fully understand the properties and applications of the stocked product range.

* Increase the customer base and market share by pro-actively finding and opening new accounts.

* Identify new products to add to our portfolio and work with the sales and inventory team to attack the market, promoting these products.

* Be aware of competitor activity, report changes and trends in the marketplace
