Lead Full Stack Web Developer (Contract) | Leeds City Centre | Hybrid (4 days in office) | £450- £550 p / d | 3-6 month contract

We are working with a large consultancy that are looking for a lead ful stack web developer with a strong expertise in React and modern web development to join a software provider that operates internationally.

As the Lead Developer, you will be working across the full stack, with a primary focus on React-based front-end applications, while also contributing to back-end architecture and API integration.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the design and development of modern full-stack web applications, utilizing React and Type Script on the front end and Java, Spring, and Hibernate on the backend.

Lead a major migration initiative to transition to a sleeker, higher-performance, and more user-friendly web architecture.

Shape technical direction and enforce best practices across the team, ensuring high code quality through thorough code reviews, unit testing, and strong development standards.

Mentor junior and mid-level developers, fostering skills development and encouraging knowledge sharing.

Ensure the performance, scalability, and security of all web applications.

Essential Skills & Experience

Degree in a computer-related field or equivalent hands-on commercial experience.

At least 7 years of professional experience in full-stack development.

A minimum of 2 years in a technical leadership or senior developer role.
